SCORES of men with shaved heads descended on Brighton Beach for The Great Skinhead Reunion.

People gathered at the Volks bar and club on Madeira Drive in Brighton on June 7 for three days of reggae, ska, punk and two-tone music, supported by Dr Martens.

Organiser Symond Lawes said: “The Great Skinhead Reunion began because a couple of my friends died and I wanted to appreciate and remember them.

“It started off as a drink with a few mates four years ago and it’s now worldwide with people coming from Australia, North and South America, Scandinavia, West and East Europe.

“We get people of all ages joining us, from 15-year-old kids to people in their late 60s.”

The Dr Martens customised Sherpa van with a sound system and built-in photo booth added atmosphere to the event.

Lizze Boyd, store manager at Dr Martens in Prince Albert Street, Brighton, said: “The skinhead community are some of our most loyal shoppers.

“We’ve heard some great stories this weekend and met some really interesting characters.”
