Cyclists are being reminded they won’t be able to take their bikes on a train after a charity cycle ride.

Southern Rail has banned all non-folding bike owners from boarding trains at their stations before noon on Sunday – the day of the London to Brighton British Heart Foundation Bike Ride.

After noon, cyclists can board with bikes north of Gatwick Airport, east of Pevensey and Westham and west of Fishbourne stations but an all-day ban will be in place in the rest of Sussex.

A queuing system for cyclists will also be in place on Saturday and Monday.
