WORLD CUP season means more than just a summer of wall-to-wall football.

It is also a time to clear out the wind pipes and prepare to sing England to victory.

Whether it’s Three Lions, World in Motion or Vindaloo everyone has their favourite anthem.

And to decide the greatest tune once and for all, private karaoke room Lucky Voice has teamed up with Brighton Big Screen for a vote on Brighton’s best-loved footie song.

Voting goes live this morning with the winning song to be revealed exclusively in The Argus on Monday, June 23.

Thousands of fans will join a karaoke sing-along of the winner in front of the Brighton Big Screen on the seafront, before the England v Costa Rica kicks off at 5pm on June 24.

Lucky Voice managing director Nick Thistleton said: “As a football-mad nation, we never tire of the age-old debate around what makes a good football anthem. “What’s really special is we plan to put the words of the winning #1 football anthem on the huge screen on Brighton Beach. “Thousands of fans will sing together in support of their team and in doing so create a magical and memorable moment.”

Lydia Neil, of Brighton’s Big Screen, said: “This is a chance for everyone to get behind the England team when we show the England v Costa Rica game. We know what our favourite football song is, but we trust you to choose the best.”
