B’n’B first to be ‘approved’ A “CHARMING” B’n’B has become the first to get the seal of approval from a new council tourism scheme.

Blandford House in Findon Valley, owned by Hazel and Harvey Ward, has become the first to be approved under Adur and Worthing councils’ Approved Visitor Accommodation Scheme.

The initiative, which is the first of its kind in the area, offers a VisitEngland accredited assessment which confirms to tourists that where they are staying is “safe, clean and legal”.

The new scheme is open to guest houses, B’n’Bs and self-catering properties and has been introduced to make the assessment process more affordable and accessible to businesses, especially those that are new to the industry or just setting up in the area.
