FARMERS will be gathering en masse at the National Sheep Association’s South Sheep show.

The large-scale agricultural show, which will be held at Black Cap Farm, Firle, near Lewes, will play host to a wide range of activities aimed at promoting sustainable farming and engaging the next generation of sheep farmers.

The event will include demonstrations and workshops on topics such as shearing, sheep dogs, cooking, crook-making and spinning.

Trade stands will be on show as well as representatives of the breed societies and individual breeders.

Festivities run from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, June 28.

Entry is free to members of the National Sheep Association and for guests under the age of 16.

Entry for non-members is £12.
