A man appeared in court charged with assaulting a police officer and multiple counts of burglary.

Jamie Osborne, of no fixed address, appeared in Crawley Magistrates Court on June 11 charged with assaulting a police officer on June 9 and two counts of burglary at two different homes in Bognor Regis.

The 18-year-old is charged with burglary of a dwelling at Stocker Road on June 6 and burglary of a dwelling at Montgomery Drive June 8.

He is also charged with theft from a car in Gansborough Road, Bognor Regis, on June 6 and criminal damage to a vehicle in Lyon Street, Bognor Regis, on June 9.

Osborne was remanded in custody until Monday 28 July.
As a result of police action, some stolen property has been recovered.
