A POST office will be modernised as part of a £1.34 billion nationwide refurbishment project.

The Post Office in Churchill Square, Brighton, will be given a new look and will have seven serving positions – with all the previous services staying on offer.

John Dutton, Post Office senior account manager, said: “We understand how important Post Office services are to the people of Brighton and we are confident this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.

“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”

The modernisation will take place from July 14 to July 21
