A CARE home is celebrating the opening of a new garden.
The official opening of the new garden at Knoll House Resource Centre took place earlier this month Knoll House is run by Brighton and Hove City Council and cares for up to 20 people.
The care home did not have a garden at all previously and successfully bid for a grant of £34,375 from the Department of Health’s Dementia Friendly Environments Fund in order to create a haven for patients. A celebratory party welcomed the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Brian Fitch.
The work done at Knoll House on Ingram Crescent West is integral to providing care and rehabilitation to people leaving hospital, and aids in the prevention of hospital visits in the first place.
