AN E-COMMERCE and digital marketing firm has installed a grass floor into its new offices to help employees keep a spring in their step.
Pixel-By-Pixel, based in Worthing, swapped carpets for artificial grass to liven it up and make it a friendlier place for clients.
But while the start-up might have the right flooring for football, booming business means staff may not have time to enjoy the World Cup.
The company was set up by entrepreneur Chris Painter in 2010.
He started out writing computer code in his garage but has built up an e-commerce leader in just four years.
The firm has a staff of nine, with international blue chip clients including Heinz, BMW and Virgin Media.
The company recently moved from Liverpool Terrace to Chapel Road.
Chris said: “Worthing’s a great place to do business. We’ve got lots of London clients who love coming down here for meetings.
“There’s been a lot of sweat and tears to get it to where it is now but we’ve got a great team and a bit of a global reputation.
“Sometimes I can’t believe how far we’ve come. I still answer most of the calls myself so there’s that real personal touch with us and what we do – people seem to really like it.”
