There was an attempted break-in at a house in Leopold Road, Bexhill, two days in a row.

When the homeowner came home on Thursday June 5 between 9am and 5pm the front door handle had been moved. Then on Friday June 6 between 10.45am and 3.30pm the front door lock had been damaged where someone had tried to force it open.

Sussex Police has launched Operation Magpie to tackle burglary across Sussex.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email quoting serial 946 of 6/6. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
