Warning on kites
NORTH SWINDON: Police have issued a warning not to fly kites near to power lines after officers were called to Mouldon Hill yesterday morning with reports of a kite tangled in 30,000-volt wires.
The kite’s nylon wire was long enough that if the wind had dropped it could have made contact with the ground or anyone walking underneath. Police cordoned the area off before retrieving it.
