A man ended up in hospital after being attacked on a night out.

The 25-year-old was talking to two women he knew when he was set upon in Robertson Street, Hastings, on June 14.

Between 1.30am and 2am a man assaulted him leaving him with head injuries, bruising to his face and grazed arms and legs.

He was taken to Conquest Hospital for treatment.

The attacker is described as white, aged 20 to 30, 6' to 6' 3" with short ginger hair. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

PC Ian Riches said: "I would urge anyone that witnessed this event to contact us with information they feel may help us with our investigation."
