A suspected thief with a "floppy fringe" stole a child's toy in a burglary that is being linked to two others.

On the morning of June 19, between 9.30am and 11.45am, a burglary and two  attempted burglaries took place in the Chichester Road and Central Avenue area of Bognor Regis.

A quantity of cash and a child's toy were taken in the burglary.

Detective Constable Andrea Watts said; "During the burglary a child's toy was stolen, a purple ball which had eyes and a mouth printed on. We think it likely that the burglar will have discarded this and we would like local residents to check their gardens for this item."

Police have a description of a suspect, a tanned white man, aged between 18 and 20, 5'6", of medium build with short dark hair with a 'floppy' fringe, and a black/blue patterned tattoo on his right arm from his elbow up to his shoulder.

He was wearing grey or blue tracksuit or jeans and was not wearing anything on his top half, but had a light coloured T-Shirt or hooded top tied around his waist. The T-shirt may have had a number  5 on the back and was navy blue, white and grey. It is believed that he may have had a bicycle.
