Detectives hope a late-night dog walker holds the key to finding a rapist.

Sussex Police are appealing for a woman spotted on CCTV walking her dog in the early hours to come forward to help with their investigations into the rape of a woman in St Leonards.

The 20-year-old woman was raped at around 2.30am in Warrior Square Gardens on Friday September 27 after a man approached her and then pushed her to the ground.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101, quoting Operation Anzac or leave an anonymous message with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
