Passengers at Gatwick Airport are facing delays of up to 90 minutes to reclaim their baggage.
A staff shortage at Swissport - one of three baggage handling companies working at the airport - has been blamed for the wait.
A spokeswoman for the airport said: "Gatwick would like to apologise for the longer than usual wait for bags some passengers have experienced this weekend.
"We are working closely with the ground handling teams at Gatwick, who are employed directly by our airlines, to improve delivery speed and service levels."
