COMEDY legend Ronnie Corbett has officially opened his daughter's new shop.
Sophie Corbett has named her boutique in Victoria Street, Brighton, The Four Candles in honour of a TV sketch performed by her father and his late partner Ronnie Barker in The Two Ronnies in 1976.
Mr Corbett, seen serving behind the counter in a hardware shop, mistakes Barker’s request for fork handles and produces four candles instead.
Mr Corbett, now 83, hosted the ceremony yesterday.
Ms Corbett said: “I have had such wonderful love and support from both my parents all of my life that I wanted to pay tribute to them with the name for the boutique.”
The shop sells a range of goods including luxury bohemian clothes and bags, hand-made furniture, jewellery, beauty gifts and bespoke haberdashery products.
