A teenage girl has been banned from driving after she was seen driving the wrong way down a one way street before "staggering" from her car.

Gemma Chow, Garrick Road, Worthing, was charged with drink-driving and banned from driving for three years as she appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court today.

The 19-year-old was arrested after she was spotted driving the wrong way into Bath Place, Worthing, parking her car and then "staggering" from it in the early hours of the Saturday morning.

She pleaded guilty and was banned from the roads for three years. She was also fined £250 and ordered to pay £25 costs and £85 costs.

Chow is one of 91 people who have been charged this month as part of Operation Dragonfly, Sussex Police's crackdown on drink and drug-driving.
