A PCSO was assaulted as he tried to stop a suspect.
Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a PCSO officer in Hastings on Thursday (26 June).
The officer was trying to stop a man in the street on the Brassey steps at the end of Claremont around 2.25pm when he was assaulted.
PC Daniel Moss said: "Thankfully my colleague did not receive any injuries but we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened. If you have any information please contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 898 of 26/6. Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
A 38-year-old man from Hastings, was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and attempt criminal damage. He was questioned and bailed until Tuesday, 26 August.
