A teenage boy was assaulted and had his mobile phone stolen.
The 14-year-old boy was with friends at around 8pm on Monday, June 9 near to the railway crossing on Eastern Road, Shoreham, opposite McDonalds, when he was approached by two men in their 20s and punched in the face. One of them also took his mobile phone.
PC James Barnes said: "One of these men is described as white, around 5' 11", between 20 and 30, muscular build with dark blonde hair short at the side wearing with a tattoo on his upper right arm and wearing a cream or white top and blue jeans.
"The other man was described as also white, 5' 8" and in his 20s, slim build with light brown hair, wearing a white jumper and green shorts.
"A passing motorist intervened, then left before the police arrived and we would like to speak to them. We also need to speak to any other witnesses who might have driven past or anyone who was in McDonalds at the time. Please call police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1426 of 9/6."
