Police have published an efit of two people suspected of aggravated burglary.
It follows an incident in which burglars sprayed an 80-year-old man in the face before searching his house.
On Monday June 9 at 7.10pm the man answered the door of his home in Brasslands Drive, Portslade, to a woman posing as an estate agent who asked him if he was thinking about putting his house on the market.
She sprayed the victim in the face with an unknown substance before two men came into the house and made an untidy search before leaving.
The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
The woman is described as white, aged about 30, 5ft 6in' to 5ft 7in tall, of average build with straight black shoulder-length hair. She was wearing an open neck white shirt with a dark coloured suit jacket and was well-spoken.
The first man was described as white, aged 39 to 40, 5ft 6in and of heavy build with short black hair. He had a round race and was wearing a unclean dark coloured short-sleeved shirt
The other man is described as white, aged 30 to 40, 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, and of muscular build and with short dark hair. He was a wearing white T-shirt showing muscular arms.
One of the men has a long v-shaped tattoo on his left arm.
Police have now published efits of two of the people believed to be involved with the incident.
