THREE mothers will abseil 100ft down an iconic hotel in aid of vulnerable and neglected children.
Brighton women Jessica Biggs, Emily Long and Natalie Rowlands will take part in the sponsored event on Thursday, July 17 at The Grand, in King’s Road, to raise funds for charity Action for Children.
Mrs Long, 34, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, of Stanley Street, said: “It’s not that you wouldn’t feel for the plight of children before you have them yourself, but maybe you become more acutely aware.
“We all met at baby groups and we’ve become really close friends. Our babies are all about fifteen months old and it’s nice to do this together.”
Visit justgiving.com/ abseilutelyfabulousbrighton to help them beat their fundraising target of £700. To take part in the abseil down the hotel, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this month, call 01622 230764.
