Burglars made off with a ride-on tractor after smashing the locks off a stable with an axe.
The stable in Whatlington Road, Battle, was raided overnight and the thieves took a green and yellow coloured ride-on Yardman tractor, a Stihl petrol strimmer and Stihl petrol hedge cutters.
Sometime between 9.30pm on July 3 and 9am on July 4 the padlock was removed on the outside gate and it is believed that a nearby axe was used to force the stable locks off.
It is also believed that a vehicle must have been used to be able to transport the tractor.
