"Attempts to build a multicultural society in Germany have "utterly failed", Chancellor Angela Merkel says." So are you suggesting that Merkel is on the brink of joining UKIP? The irony of those who knock the regular critics will be the same ones complaing they can't get their children into their chosen school, that the wait for a GP appointment is too long or that housing is too expensive, oh and that we need green taxes to reduce consumption. All these things are considerably worsened by open-door immigation.

A full kettle of boiling water poured over her would have led to injuries requiring weeks of attention....thankfu
lly, she was discharge within a few hours.

No-one is denigrating this awful attack, but the report sensationalised it.

Because immigration is FREQUENTLY involved but it's also the elephant in the room, that no politician dare admit. The simple answer is to put it to the vote but of course despite our so-called democracy, we're not allowed to make such a decision for ourselves. UKIPers are just as emtitled to their opinion as anyone else.

When someone has come to this country and committed a crime, questions are bound to be raised concerning their presence in that country.

The discussion about our borders has been silenced since the first Race Law of 1965 made it impossible for Britons to speak out about any and all negative aspects of immigration to this country. The accusation of 'racist!' has bee misused so often, it almost carries a badge of honour by those who are merely expressing disquiet about a topic that will affect this country for centuries.

UKIP is one of several options open to those who want a peaceful settlement of the issue, and seeing as UKIP is an articulate and mature party (unlike the BNP) those of us with the intelligence to discuss the issue now have a political party worth voting for.

Should someone with such limited English skills really be attacking others on the matter?

" A man is being sought by police after a kettle full of boiling water was poured over a woman believed to be wife.

Luis Alfaro-Tames, 47, has not been seen since the incident at a house in Ousedale Close, Lewes, more than one week ago.

The Peruvian is known to frequent Brighton and Lewes and police want anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.

The victim, 31, was visiting her neighbour when she was attacked.

The neighbour said: “I had gone upstairs to bed. Then I heard this screaming. He had gone out of the door so I tried to chase him.

“By the time I got back she was gone and I spoke to her after she had been to hospital.

“She is very scared. She does not want to go out.”

Police are said to have taken away the victim’s electric kettle.

Mr Alfaro-Tames is thought to have lived in close-knit Ousedale Close for a few months. "

^^^^From the updated Argus report.

So the attack took place at the house of a neighbour who she was visiting.

How come, then, that the kettle in the incident was owned by the victim, not the neighbour?
