Thugs dismantled a climbing frame in a children's playground in a “mindless act of vandalism”.
A group of four youths with micro scooters spotted at the park in Crouch Gardens, Seaford, on the evenings of June 27 and June 28, are believed to have been involved.
Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: "This was a mindless act of vandalism. Not only has the frame been damaged and other children cannot use it but taking it apart made it likely that a child would get hurt. If you or your children know anyone who was involved or who has lost a scooter tool recently, please let us know."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1687 of 28/06.
