PUPILS and staff at a prestigious Scottish school sailed into Brighton as part of 80th birthday celebrations.
Gordonstoun School, in Moray, is circumnavigating the UK in 80 days to mark its anniversary.
Eighty-foot sail training vessel Ocean Spirit sailed into Brighton Marina on Tuesday crewed by students on the fourth leg of its tour.
Prince Charles and other royals attended the school in the 1960s.
Simon Reid, principal at Gordonstoun, said: “Many of the crew had never visited Brighton before so they took the opportunity to look around Brighton Marina and more importantly to visit the pier.”
The boat left the Kyle of Lochalsh on June 4 for its summer voyage and will dock at nine ports along the way.
