Lights will be going out across the county to mark the First World War.
Brighton and Hove City Council has given its backing to the Lights Out campaign on August 4.
Residents are being asked to turn off their lights between 10pm and 11pm on Monday August 4 and leave just a single light or candle for a shared moment of reflection on the 100-year anniversary of the First World War.
