A motorist was injured when their car flipped while driving along a country road in the early hours of the morning.

Sussex Police officers were called to the scene on the A283 Steyning Road about a mile from Shoreham at 3.30am this morning after reports of a car on its roof.

A force spokesman said one patient was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed for two hours while crash scene investigators examined the scene and the car was removed.
