A woman had her toe broken when a car drove over her foot as violence broke out at a carnival.
The 34-year old pedestrian sustained a broken toe when the wheel of a car ran over her foot at Littlehampton Carnival at 5.25pm on Saturday.
Her 44-year-old friend also suffered injuries after being punched in the face.
A 73-year old Littlehampton man was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, of driving without due care, and of failing to stop for a police officer and has been released on bail until August 1 while enquiries continue.
