A new play will explore the global impact of 9/11 in a newly reopened space.

New Venture Theatre will end their current season of performances with a production of Decade - 14 short plays by various renowned writers focussing on the individual stories round the events of 9/11 and the long-term effects.

The plays are being staged as a large-scale promenade production across three separate performance spaces in the theatre including the group’s newly refurbished Main Theatre, which was closed for ten years due to fire regulations.

The theatre in Bedford Place, Brighton, is now fully operational thanks to a long fundraising appeal.

The performance is directed by Kirsty Elmer and audiences are being promised a “thought-provoking, moving and memorable theatrical experience”.

The production runs from Friday until July 26 with evening performances at 7.45pm and a matinee on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Audiences are being advised that the promenade staging will involve movement up and down stairs and the production contains explicit language which is not suitable for children.

Tickets for the show are available and can be purchased online at www.newventure.org.uk or for further details phone on 01273 746118.
