A police appeal has led to the arrest of four suspected March for England street brawlers but detectives still need help in finding more suspects.

Three people from Brighton and a man from Henfield have been arrested following an appeal for suspects involved in a fight in Brighton after the March for England and counter protest.

Detectives released images of suspects they wanted to trace after serious disorder broke out around 2pm on Sunday April 27 between The Dorset Pub and Infinity Foods, at the junction of North Road and Gardner Street with chairs and other missiles between rival factions.

A 17-year-old boy, a 47-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, all from Brighton, and a 46-year-old man from Henfield have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed until September 11.

Police are still looking to identify the offenders involved.

Detective Inspector Vicki Harris, who has been leading the investigation, said: "Despite making arrests, we are still looking to identify these individuals who were involved in this nasty incident.

"We are extremely keen to identify these two men particularly, who played an active role in the violence and need to be held to account for their behaviour.”
