Lobster and soft cheese was stolen in a burglary.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary at Old Town Fisheries in Rock a Nore Road, Hastings, between 6pm on Saturday July 12 and 9am on Sunday July 13.

Police would like to speak to a man seen selling items out of a white polystyrene box, believed to be a fish container, going around pubs in the area on Saturday.

He is described as a white, aged in his 30s, 5' 8" and of skinny build with black short hair. He was wearing dark clothing.

PC Claire Middleton said: "If you were approached by this man or can identify who he is then please get in contact."

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 0475 of 13/07. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
