Two pensioners were seriously injured when their car left the road and hit a tree.
Emergency services were called to Henley Hill in Midhurst Road, near Fernhurst, to reports a black Honda CRV had left the road and collided with a tree at about 12.45pm on Wednesday.
The vehicle rolled after hitting the tree, injuring a 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man from Haslemere.
They were both taken to St George’s Hospital in London – the woman taken by air ambulance.
Sergeant Stewart Goodwin said: "The fire service attended and removed the passenger from the car and the road was closed for two and a half hours while emergency services were on the scene.
"We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Romsey on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk"
