A man was attacked in a road rage incident.
He was attacked by a driver of a green transit van in Grange Road, Hastings at 5:15am on Tuesday.
The victim suffered a fractured cheekbone after being grabbed from his vehicle and hit several times.
A 43 year old man from St. Leonards-on-Sea was arrested on suspicion of assault and after questioning, was released on bail until September 14.
His van is described as having a passenger cab and a flat bed at the back, with what looked like gas cylinders and brooms sticking out at either side.
PC Andy Lancaster said; “The victim is shaken after this seemingly unprovoked road rage incident.
“The Ridge is a busy stretch of road, if you were travelling at this time and have any information we would like to hear from you.
