Thousands of pounds worth of items have been stolen from a house in West Sussex.

A property on Pangdene Close in Burgess Hill was broken into between July 4 and July 6 while the occupants were away, who returned to find their patios doors smashed.

The items stolen included an Apple Imac, a Swarovski necklace and bracelet, two designer watches and champagne.

Although most of the items stolen were jewellery or electrical, a fan and a magazine basket were also taken.

A man was seen leaving the property on July 4 at 7pm through the side gate.

He is described as white, between 35 and 40 and 5' 10".

Detective Constable Oliver Summer said: "Thousands of pounds worth of items were stolen from this house and we think those responsible might have made several trips."
