A man from West Sussex has been found guilty of two counts of sexual offences against a girl under 13.
John David Manvell, 67, formally of Mill Road in Steyning, was found guilty of one count of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and one of sexual touching at Lewes Crown Court today.
Both counts were on a girl who was known to him and happened at his home between December 2013 and March this year.
Detective Constable Dani Flude said: "The victim was extremely brave when she spoke at his trial this week and we have been supporting her throughout.
"I am pleased that this case has been resolved with Manvell being found guilty of the two charges.
"We take reports of sexual offences very seriously and will make sure we do all we can to get justice for a victim.
"If anyone has any concerns about this kind of offence please speak to us."
Manvell has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on September 5.
