BEST-SELLING author Peter James was guest of honour at the official opening of a new medical centre and library complex.
The crime writer, best known for his Detective Superintendent Roy Grace series, cut the ribbon at the centre in Woodingdean, Brighton.
The complex provides an opportunity for health services in the city to promote healthy living in new ways by pairing a medical centre and library together in one location.
GPs are working with the library to organise healthy walks, art therapy sessions and other activities.
The activities are designed to promote mental and physical wellbeing for patients registered at the centre and users of the library.
