With weather befitting Rio, carnival atmosphere came to Sussex this weekend.
Hundreds of people lined the street to see the successful running of this year’s Broadwater Carnival on Saturday.
Eye-catching floats travelled from Worthing High School along South Farm Road, Queen Street, and Broadwater Road to Broadwater Green with residents there to cheer them on every step of the way.
On the green, visitors to the carnival were able to enjoy a number of stalls, sideshows, rides, music performances and displays.
There was also plenty to entertain four-legged carnival goers with a charity dog show organised by Northdale Vets and judged by TV vet Marc Abraham.
All proceeds raised at the event will be donated to four charities selected by the carnival committee.
This year’s charities were Breast Cancer Care, Baby Buddies, First Responders and Support Our Soldiers.
