The Argus has always been your paper – and we want you to help us provide more of the news that matters to you.
We are asking readers to tell us their stories and send their photographs for publication in your favourite daily newspaper.
By doing this we hope to expand our coverage into the communities we are proud to serve and make sure we highlight the stories that matter to you.
As a community correspondent, we want you bring us the news from your area. It could be a community event, a hero who deserves recognition or an issue that is the talk of your neighbourhood.
We know that parking, speed limits, crime and education are always hot topics. So why not help us to tell those stories from where you live?
It does not have to be bad news. We are always looking for positive stories, tales of success and achievement.
We are also interested in brightening up the day with any funny, quirky tales you may have.
We don’t mind, as long as they feature one of the communities we serve.
As well as being interested in becoming an Argus correspondent yourself, you might also know someone else who would be ideal. If so, make sure they get in touch.
If you have a story or a photograph crying out to be published, email them to firstname.lastname@example.org and mark it “Community Content” in the subject line.
For example, following the spectacular storm in the early hours of Friday, July 18, we received loads of fantastic pictures from readers who sent them to picture.desk @theargus.co.uk with many featuring in The Argus the next day.
One photo was so stunning, we put it on the front page.
