PAMPERED pooches were on parade at a dog show judged by a popular TV vet.

Marc Abraham was on hand at Northdale Vets’ annual dog show at the Broadwater Carnival in Worthing.

The show raised almost £400 for Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS).

Organisers Kim Bent and Jess Lumbard said: “Thanks to everyone who supported the dog show. We raised £388.50 for WADARS thanks to all staff and Marc the vet.”

Jessie, a Staffordshire bull terrier, was crowned as best in show.

Mr Abraham, who will soon start working with Northdale Vets, said: “I chose Jessie as best in show as rescue Staffies have a hard time, as they are often being overlooked, with so many nationwide stuck in shelters awaiting rehoming. Rescue Staffies need all the help they can get to raise their profile as they really do make perfect family pets.”
