ALMOST 300,000 jetsetters are preparing to fly from Gatwick this weekend.
The summer holiday exodus is set to take off this weekend with more than two million Britons expected to leave the country.
Spain remains the number-one destination for those hitting continental hot spots, according to travel organisation Abta, although Greece and Turkey are also proving popular.
In a separate study by Post Office Travel Money, a stronger pound and price cuts in foreign resorts are calculated to be making family trips to European hot spots up to 31% cheaper this summer.
