A GRANT worth nearly £5,000 has been given to a volunteer scheme to help prevent burglary.
The Police and Crime Commissioner's Safe in Sussex Community Fund donated £4,987.03 to the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (EFRS) Community Volunteer Scheme.
It will go towards the 'Safe as Houses Project' which provides information about burglary prevention support for victims.
The Community Volunteer Scheme is managed by 3VA who support and develop the community sector in Eastbourne, Lewes District and Wealden.
