A CHARITY which provides activities for people with sight problems has been awarded funds by a supermarket giant.

The volunteer-run and Brighton-based charity City Synergy received £200 from Asda’s Chosen By You Given By Us fund.

The group provides events such as bowling, tennis, mini-golf and concerts for those who are suffering from blindness or sight loss.

City Synergy treasurer Iris Keppler, secretary Paul Gillett and Keith Turner and his dog Eva are pictured outside Asda superstore in Hollingbury.

The organisation was named Argus Charity of the Year in 2008.
