The Royal British Legion wants people across the county to turn off their lights for an hour in tribute to Britain’s World War One soldiers.
It wants everyone to light candles instead from 10pm to 11pm on August 4, the centenary of Britain’s entry into the war.
Special centenary candles are available for £4 from Marks and Spencer and on its website. All profits go to the Royal British Legion.
