A huge celebration of diversity, equality and acceptance was the order of the day at the second–ever Trans Pride event.
The groundbreaking celebration returned to Brighton over the weekend after a successful debut last year.
The celebrations kicked off with a film event at the Duke of York’s cinema on Friday before a trans–friendly schedule of events on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday a parade through St James’s Street, accompanied by a samba band, led thousands of participants to New Steine Gardens for Trans Pride in the Park featuring a day of music, scores of community stalls, comedy, poetry and performers.
The weekend was brought to a close yesterday with a relaxing lunch for participants on the beach.
