A COUNTRY park has been given a prestigious award for quality and cleanliness.
Buchan Country Park, near Crawley, was handed the Green Flag Award for a fifth consecutive year.
The national award, which is given by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the country.The park is owned and managed by West Sussex County Council.
Councillor Lionel Barnard, cabinet member for residents’ services, said the award recognised the hard work of staff and park volunteers.
