Thieves made off with a handbag, cash and jewellery from a bungalow in Lancing.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary in Western Road between 1pm and 8pm on July 24

There are believed to be two suspects who were seen driving away in a silver hatchback car between 2pm and 3pm.

The first suspect is described as a white man, aged late 20s to early 30s, 5' 8" to 5' 10" and of stocky heavy build with short blonde hair.

He was wearing, a white top with three-quarter-length denim shorts and a baseball cap.

The second suspect is described as a white man, aged late 20s to early 30s, 5' 8" to 5' 10" and of stocky build with short dark hair.

Detective Constable Jennie Hutchinson said: "Although the burglary was discovered at 8pm, it is believed to have happened around 2pm in the afternoon.

"Please get in contact with us if you were in the Brooklands Park area and saw anything suspicious or have any information which could help with our inquiries."
