THREE women from Worthing have secured their places on a children's first ever overseas challenge event.

Chestnut Tree House near Arundel is calling on people to sign up to walk the Great Wall of China in October 2015. The first team to send in an application form for the nine day 35km trek is Connor’s China Trekkers.

Kirsty Wenham, Katey Wiseman and Nicola Holden are doing the challenge in memory of Kirsty's nephew Connor, who benefited from the hospice's care eight years ago.

Connor was born with a number of serious health problems that had caused him difficulties throughout his short seven years of life.

Ms Wenham said: “We are always up for a challenge and a fun way to help raise money for the charity which does outstanding work for life-limited children across Sussex.”
