A Kenyan suffered two puncture wounds after being attacked with what police believe to be a fork.

Officers are appealing for information following the incident at 11.50pm on Friday (August 1).

The 29-year-old had been drinking with a friend in Kenilworth Road, St Leonards, when he was attacked.

He suffered two puncture wounds in what police believe to be an attack with a fork.

He was taken for treatment at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

A 24-year-old man from Beckenham, Kent, was arrested on suspicion of affray. He was questioned and bailed until September 23.

Anyone who witnessed the attack is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1725 of 2/8. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
