Man arrested after "unprovoked" Hastings attack

First published in News

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after two men were allegedly assaulted as they walked along a slip road.

The 41-year-old has been bailed following the alleged incident on Sunday July 27 at 3.30am, on the slip road leading to the Priory Meadow multi-storey car park from Devonshire Road, Hastings.

He is due to answer bail on October 1.

Police say a 19-year-old victim sustained a broken nose and a 22-year-old victim lost a tooth in the “seemingly unprovoked” assault.

PC Matt Pearmain asked any witnesses to get in touch.

Call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 340 of 27/07.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

stevo!! says...

Yet another 'unprovoked' attack in this area.

Is it something in the air which causes people to wlak up to others and hit them for no reason?

Or are the victims keeping quiet about what they did to cause this?

Note that he hasn't been charged.....whyever not? Is it because the police are now going back to the victims with fresh allegations?
