MP calls for more buses

First published in News

An MP wants to see more bus services for residents in his constituency.

Simon Kirby is calling on Brighton and Hove Buses to rethink their recently published winter timetable and increase the regularity of the 48 bus service between Lower Bevendean and Brighton Train Station.

The Brighton Kemptown MP praised the work of the bus firm in creating a more regular 2 service while maintaining the same level of 7, 12, 14 and 27 services but said the important route for Lower Bevendean residents to get into the city centre should be more frequent.

I live in Bevendean and think we have a very good bus service which rums from 5.30am till about Midnight running every 15 minutes throughout the daytime. We have many extra busses at school times that go direct to the schools.
